So much has happened since we last chatted!
We are nearly to the end of calving season, there's just one more cow left to have her baby. It's Leni, our most friendly cow on the farm. Make sure you're following us on social media (@willowsfarmbeef) to see cute photos and videos of the calves playing- they're pretty hilarious!
We welcomed our fourth grandchild into the world in October and we are definitely the luckiest grandparents that ever lived. Little Josephine is beautiful and our hearts are bursting with happiness.
We had a fire in the kitchen of our farmhouse. Luckily, Maryanne and I were both home and close to the house. Maryanne immediately recognized the emergency and jumped into action. We were able to get the fire out quickly and firefighters confirmed there were no remaining embers or smoldering bits.
Per the firefighters- check your smoke detectors and make sure the batteries are good. Smoke alarms save lives. Make sure your windows open- that is often the only route of escape in the case of a fire.
Here's some information from our local fire department about how fire behaves and how to do your best to prevent them!
Speaking of warmth, the holiday season is upon us. We are now selling singular cuts on our website for pickup at the farm. Put together a box of steaks for that person who is hard to buy for or pick up a Small Box or Sampler Box to give that meat eater in the family a variety of delicious & healthy choices!
As always, thank you for your time. We are so thankful for your engagement and attention. If you have any questions or suggestions, or just want to keep chatting, feel free to call me, shoot us an email, or shoot me a text.
