Is Grass Fed Beef Healthier?

Hello & welcome to summer! The heat is on!
So- is grass fed beef actually healthier?
You could call grass fed beef a superfood! It's all because of this little compound called conjugated linoleic acid- or CLA. This is an animal based compound that has been shown to reduce cancer risk in trials all over the world.
In grass fed beef, CLA is 500% higher than grain fed beef. In several studies, researchers found CLA led to a decrease in cancer, adult diabetes, & body fat, and an increase in immunity & bone density.
When compared to grain fed beef, grass fed beef happens to be 400% higher in Vitamin A, 300% higher in Vitamin E, 75% higher in Omega-3's, and 78% higher in Beta Carotene- the thing that gives grass fed beef fat that distinct yellow color.
In the last few years, my wife Maryanne has been warned by her doctor that she needs to watch her sugar intake. And we have two very rambunctious, danger-seeking grandchildren that she chases after every week. So when I found out that CLA had all these incredible benefits, it was just another reason for me to dive into this grass fed journey.
I had my own serious health battle back in 1992 with a rare disease called angiocentric immunoproliferative lesions or (AIL) and I nearly died. Since that experience, I've taken my health and fitness more seriously. I've lived by the notion that if you eat better, you feel better. Finding research to support these SUPER health benefits of grass fed versus grain fed really sealed the deal for me.
If you find yourself looking for a simple way to improve your nutrition- then grass fed beef is like having an easy button to push- especially if you already eat beef!
